Front office staff should be trained better

I just checked in and already have a bad experience. I could not really catch the front office staff's accent while checking in. When I asked again, she made a snarky comment. So unnecessary and what a bad start to our stay. I have never heard a front office staff spoken like that before. Lets see if the rest of the service improves over our stay. If not, they should do something to train their staff better. Had a great experience so far in Thailand with friendly people but this somewhat marred our experience.

People must first take note. Happy 3 is, in my opinion, a 3 - 4 star mid-range budget hotel and should be seen as such. One should adjust their expectations accordingly so as to avoid any disappointment. I had already stayed at the hotel once before, so I was quite keen to enjoy my experience. There was a feeling of nostalgia as my family and I slowly walked our way into the small alley from the very near National Stadium BTS Station. Upon entering the hotel, can see that nothing much has changed on the inside, still looked as welcoming as always. Welcome drinks stand in a corner of the lobby as you're courteously greeted by the security guard and receptionist with smiles. Upon opening our door, we were greeted by a large spacious room with a small kitchenette and clothes cabinet on the right, toilet and shower on the left and wooden flooring for the room. (I can't stand carpets.) The shower area and toilet share a same sliding door. So that may be a very slight inconvenience if you're sharing a room with friends and there's already one having a shower and another suddenly has a stomachache. Beds are large and very comfortable and air-conditioning is nice and cool and thankfully, temperature adjustable. While there is no door separating the toilet / shower from the room corridor there is a large pullable 'curtain' that can b used in place of a door that can curtain off the entire section. There are many wall outlets available for charging use for handphones and the like beside the beds and also on the desk area. One may also borrow adapters from the reception if needed. The hotel also has a small pool should guests wish to swim. In terms of convenience, one of the best reasons for staying is the location. National Stadium BTS Station is very near the hotel and Siam BTS Station is only 1 stop away. Getting to Yaowarat (Chinatown) is also a breeze as the MRT line you're required to change at is only 3 stops away at Sala Daeng BTS Station. Then you use the covered walkways to get to Silom MRT Station and take another 3 MRT Stations to Wat Mangkorn MRT Station (To get to Chinatown). Getting to the hotel from the airport is just as easy. Take the Airport Rail Link from the airport all the way to Phaya Thai Station, switch Iines and take 2 stops to Siam and then 1 stop to National Stadium BTS Station. There is VERY large Lotus supermarket less than 15mins away from the hotel and a small local wet market directly beside it. There is a McDonalds and at least 2 7-11s nearby the hotel as well.

Comfy hotel. It’s clean. Location is good. Just 5mins walk to the train station. Only problem is the toilets. One door to be shared with toilet and shower. So when someone is using the toilet no one can use the shower cause they both share the same door. That was quite a challenge as we were a group of friends travelling. Besides that everything else good. Staff were friendly and helpful as well

Charming hotel in a convenient area. Short walk to metro and 7-11. Enjoyed a sweet trip while visiting Bangkok with sandy_sine32 . Like the contemporary styling of the rooms and the generally small size of the hotel.

Walking distance 5-6min to BTS and 1 stop to siam square. Not much restaurants near by if compare to Siam square, but a few massage shop near by with reasonable price. Clean room, booked twice with the hotel.
